Understand and use intelligent recommendations

Flino reads your incoming replies, classifies them, and surfaces a concrete next action in several places in the app. The system runs in the background as soon as mail arrives — you don’t have to start it. The recommendations are hints, not commands: you decide whether to follow them.

On the Pipeline, Flino shows an intent badge per offer as soon as a signal has been derived from a reply. Examples from real life:

  • Call slot — the customer suggested a concrete time
  • Call requested — the customer wants a call but didn’t name a time
  • Acceptance + call — the customer accepted AND wants to discuss

The pipeline is the fastest sorting anchor: you see at a glance where things are moving.

Offer detail page — “Next step” card

Section titled “Offer detail page — “Next step” card”

The detail page of an offer has a “Next step” area. The content is not static — it adapts to the current state of the offer:

  • No contact assigned → “Assign contact”
  • Contact without email → “Add email address”
  • Sent, no sequence active → “Start follow-up”
  • Sequence paused (e.g. because a reply came in) → “Review sequence” with a pointer to the reply
  • Sequence ended → “Start new sequence”
  • Gmail not connected → “Connect Gmail” instead of any of the others

Next to it sits the Flino recommendation — a card that shows the detected intent, the confidence in percent, and a concrete next action. What Flino suggests per intent (the exact wording adapts to the situation):

Detected intentWhat Flino suggests
Ready to book (ready_to_book)Buying intent detected — act now (propose a meeting or confirm the close)
Price objection (price_objection)Address the value of your offer
Needs clarification (clarification_needed)Answer the questions, clearly outline scope, reduce uncertainty
Not now (not_right_time)Timing is inconvenient — pause the sequence and follow up later
Will get back (we_will_get_back)Follow up in a friendly way and give the customer time
Other / no clear signalRe-analyse the intent or wait for further interactions

You can take the recommended action straight from the card: open the reply composer, pause the sequence, set the status. All actions are reversible — toast “Pause reverted” when you change your mind.

When the situation matches a ready-made reply strategy or a sequence, the card also shows two bridges: View matching strategy in composer and Find matching sequence — see Sales Playbook & strategy recommendations.

On the Dashboard you get a daily overview: what is moving, where are open reactions, what is overdue. The dashboard is your entry when you want to know “where should I look first today?”.

When a customer email comes in, a reply classification runs in the background. It assigns the reply to one of five classes:

  • Positive — agreement, sign-off, “let’s start”
  • Question — the customer asks for something
  • Objection — price, budget, timing, other concerns
  • Neutral — no clear direction
  • Rejection — the customer is out, the competitor won

From this reply class plus other signals from the conversation history (earlier replies, notes, reactions), Flino derives the intent — the customer’s likely intention regarding the deal. The list of intents matches the recommendation table above.

For each intent, Flino shows a confidence in percent. At low confidence, it pays to read the actual reply before following the recommendation.

What recommendations trigger automatically — and what not

Section titled “What recommendations trigger automatically — and what not”

Recommendations don’t send an email by themselves. What Flino does automatically:

  • Pause the sequence when a reply arrives (pause reason Customer reply received)
  • Show the intent badge in the pipeline and on the detail page
  • Show the recommendation in the Flino recommendation card and in the Next step area

What you do actively:

  • Write the reply (open the composer, optionally with an AI suggestion)
  • Add a meeting to the calendar
  • Set the status manually to Won / Lost
  • Pause or resume the sequence

If the situation has changed — for example after a phone call you logged — you can have the intent recalculated. In the Customer intent area of the detail page, you find the button Analyse intent. Toast: “Intent re-analysed.” All existing signals from the offer and its conversation history are evaluated again.

  • Scan the pipeline in the morning. What got an intent badge? What is at the top?
  • Read the “Next step” card on the offer detail page before you type. It tells you what’s next — whether that’s “Assign contact” or “Suggest a meeting”.
  • Check the confidence on important deals. With clear signals you can follow the recommendation directly. With low confidence: read the original reply briefly, then decide.
  • Use the recommended pause when the intent is “Not now”. The sequence pauses automatically; in two weeks Flino suggests starting it again.
  • Pipeline — the table with status and intent badges
  • React to replies — the composer and reply processing
  • Follow-up sequences — when sequences pause, when they resume
  • AI context — recommendations are only as good as the context the AI has
  • Meeting card — the card that pops up in the composer when a meeting is detected
