Create and manage offer versions
Sometimes an offer needs revisiting — the customer has a new requirement, the price shifts, the scope changes. Instead of overwriting the original, you can create a new offer version. That keeps the history clean and lets you compare versions.
Where versions appear
Section titled “Where versions appear”On the detail page of an offer, a Versions area lists every version:
- Active version — the version currently in effect
- Draft version — a version you are still working on, before it becomes active
- Replaced versions — old active versions that were superseded by a newer one
Create a new version
Section titled “Create a new version”- Click New version in the versions area.
- Edit the changed fields (e.g. amount, description, validity).
- Save as draft for a draft version, or Save directly for a new active version.
Toasts:
- “Draft version created”
- “Offer version updated”
- “Offer version updated (active version — changes applied)”

Activate a draft
Section titled “Activate a draft”A draft version only takes effect once you activate it:
- In the versions area, click Activate version? on the draft.
- Confirm.
The previous active version moves to Replaced; the new draft becomes the active version.
Delete a draft
Section titled “Delete a draft”As long as a draft is not active, you can delete it — modal Delete draft version? with confirmation.
Resend with a new version
Section titled “Resend with a new version”With a new active version in place, you can send the offer again. The flow is identical to Send offer — Flino uses the currently active version automatically for the email body and the PDF attachment.
Tip: If your customer just reacted to an old version (by email or via the acceptance link), check before activating the new version that their reaction does not concern an aspect you are about to change.
Attach a PDF to a version
Section titled “Attach a PDF to a version”Each version can have its own PDF:
- In the versions area, click Upload PDF or Replace PDF.
- Toast “Offer PDF added” or “Offer PDF replaced”.
- Optionally, AI analysis runs on the new PDF and updates the context — toast “PDF analysis complete — context updated”.
What stays the same, what changes
Section titled “What stays the same, what changes”| Stays the same across versions | Changes per version |
|---|---|
| Contact and company | Title, amount, validity, description |
| Pipeline status | PDF attachment |
| Activity timeline (all events stay) | Acceptance link refers to the active version |
Acceptance link on a version switch
Section titled “Acceptance link on a version switch”Acceptance links are version-bound — they are coupled at creation time to the version that was active then.
The existing link keeps showing the version it was created with. When you activate a new version, the old link stays technically valid but continues to display the old data (title, amount, validity, PDF). To share the new version, create a new link — see Acceptance link.
