Billing, plan limits, and AI credits

In Billing you manage your subscription, your AI credits, and see your usage limits.

Page subtitle: “Manage your subscription, credits, and usage limits.”

At the top you see a card for your current plan:

  • Plan name (e.g. Free Plan)
  • Status badge — one of: Active, Comped, Payment pending, Cancelled
  • For an active paid plan: button Manage subscription (opens the Stripe customer portal in a new tab)

Each plan grants you a monthly credit quota. Credits are spent on AI actions — for example:

  • Generate email / AI suggestion
  • Analyse PDF
  • Classify reply

Rule of thumb: 1 credit = 1 AI action.

A progress bar shows: “[X] of [Y] credits used” and the next reset date.

If you need more credits in a month, you can buy top-ups. Each top-up:

  • is a bundle with a fixed credit count
  • is valid for 12 months from purchase
  • is consumed on top of the monthly credits

Top-up details shows the active bundles with remaining balance and validity.

Top-ups are only available in the paid plans — namely Starter and Pro. In the Free plan you cannot buy top-ups; once monthly credits run out, you have to switch to a paid plan first.

Flino consumes monthly credits first, then top-up bundles. That way monthly credits don’t expire unused at cycle end — the top-up sits and waits until you need it.

What happens when credits run out during a sequence?

Section titled “What happens when credits run out during a sequence?”

If your total balance (monthly + top-up) does not cover a planned sequence step, this happens automatically:

  1. The step is not sent.
  2. The sequence pauses with the reason No credits.
  3. You get a notification “Follow-up paused: no credits left” with a pointer to the billing page.
  4. Once you’ve topped up (upgrade or buy top-up), you can manually resume the sequence — it picks up the next step at the next valid send slot.

The sequence itself is not lost — it waits until credits are available again.

Besides credits, there is a limit on active offers:

  • Card Active offers
  • Progress bar: “[X] of [Y] offers”
  • On reaching the limit: red badge Limit reached + button Upgrade

An offer counts as active as long as its status is not Won / Lost.

The page shows an overview of the available plans. Note: “All prices net, excl. 19% VAT.”

Functionally, all plans are identical. You get the same core features everywhere — offer management, sending via Gmail, acceptance link, follow-up sequences, AI suggestions, pipeline, analytics, team management, calendar integration. What differs between plans are three things:

  1. How many offers you can have active in parallel. In the Free plan that is 5 active offers in parallel (anything not Won, Lost, or Expired). In the paid plans the count is unlimited.
  2. How many monthly AI credits you get. Each plan has a different quota.
  3. Whether you can buy top-ups. Top-ups are only available in the paid plans. In the Free plan you have to switch to a paid plan once monthly credits are gone.

Current prices and credit volumes are always on the official pricing page (flino.com/pricing) or directly in your billing page in Flino. The docs deliberately don’t list fixed numbers because plan terms can change — the pricing page is the only reliable source.

  1. On the plan card, click Upgrade.
  2. Stripe checkout opens.
  3. Enter payment details and confirm.
  4. Toast “Upgrade successful!” — the plan display updates.

  1. In the credits area, click Buy credits or View top-ups.
  2. Pick a top-up bundle.
  3. Stripe checkout → payment.
  4. Credits are added to your account immediately.
  • Modal Offer limit reached: “You’ve hit the maximum of active offers ([X]/[Y]).”
  • A banner on the offers page and the create button is disabled.
  • Solutions: upgrade your plan or move existing offers to Won / Lost / Expired.
  • Modal Insufficient Credits: “AI actions are blocked. Please upgrade or buy credits.”
  • Buttons Upgrade plan / Buy credits
  • Manual actions (change status, write email manually, pause sequence) keep working
  • AI buttons are disabled and show a hover hint

At a low balance: “Credits running low. Upgrade or top-up so automations don’t stop.”

Can I save monthly credits and use them next month? No — monthly credits are reset at the cycle end and don’t accumulate. Purchased top-ups, on the other hand, are valid for 12 months from purchase.

Can I cancel monthly? Yes — via the Stripe customer portal (Manage subscription).

What happens if a payment fails? The status moves to Payment pending. You’ll see hints in the UI; after several failed attempts the status moves to Cancelled, and AI actions are blocked.
